The Rabbit-Snail

This wooden sculpture brings together two symbolic beings: the rabbit (tochtli), a messenger of fertility, abundance, and intuition, and the snail (bichubé), guardian of emotional healing and quiet perseverance.

Its surface is adorned with hand-painted codices, grecas, and sculptural detail inspired by a dream - each mark echoing the depth of Zapotec tradition and the artist’s inner vision.

Created by the Ortega Family, Oaxaca, Mexico.
