"In Midnight, a piece from my Noir series, I propose a deep investigation into the limits of perception and the materiality of a single color. Through a rigorously minimalist black-on-black composition, I move away from chromatic contrast to focus entirely on the essence of form, texture, and the way light behaves across the surface of the canvas.

My work is built upon a premise of silent elegance and depth. Rather than seeking attention through excess, I want Midnight to draw the eye through subtlety. By playing with absolute black and its variations in gloss and opacity, I create a tactile dimension where the space seems to expand and contract according to your movement in front of the piece.

In this work, I have allowed the gesture to take a protagonist role through fluid, weightless forms. I am interested in the pursuit of lightness, as if these shapes are floating within a field of atmospheric density. This organic movement creates a harmonic tension between the freedom of my brushwork and the rigor of a minimalist aesthetic.

For me, choosing monochromatism is not an act of restriction, but one of sensory expansion. By removing the distraction of color, I invite you into a state of introspective contemplation. As light hits the different textures, it reveals contours that emerge and then disappear, mimicking the ephemeral and mysterious nature of the night.

Midnight is my essay on the balance between risk and restraint. A moment where technical sophistication meets emotional resonance."
